A Touring Exhibition Developed By The British Museum

In 2022, I had the opportunity to photograph the Crossings: Community and Refuge exhibition during its stop at Derby Museum. Part of a touring series developed by the British Museum, Crossings explores powerful stories of migration, displacement, and belonging—told through a collection of poignant artworks created by refugees and asylum seekers.

The exhibition invited visitors to reflect on the personal experiences behind global headlines, and photographing it was a moving experience. This blog brings together a selection of images capturing the atmosphere and detail of the Derby installation.
