A Celebration of the History of Derbyshire
Just a quick post to share some photos from the Derbyshire History Fair 2025, which took place at Strutts Community Centre in Belper on Saturday (28th June). It was a brilliant mix of local history groups, short talks, old maps, and all sorts of fascinating displays. Loads of friendly people sharing stories and digging into the past of the county. If you’re even slightly into history, it was a great way to spend a few hours.
I was there with my camera on behalf of the Derbyshire Archaeological Society (DAS) to document the event. Nothing too formal, just glimpses of what was going on, and a way to help promote the various organisations involved.
